The Golden Legacy
The name “Golden Leaf” is a tribute to a beloved golden retriever, Renly, who spent nearly a decade providing comfort and support to children and adults in the clinic. His presence taught us that healing often happens in the spaces between words, through a gentle nudge or a steady, calming presence.
Renly's gentle spirit and unwavering support helped to create a space where people could feel safe, grounded and cared for as they navigated their own paths toward healing. His legacy of warmth and compassion continues to define Golden Leaf today.
In honor of his contributions, 10% of all revenue from EMDR Intensives is donated to our local veterinary clinic to help other dogs battling hemangiosarcoma, as well as efforts to advance research into the treatment of this aggressive cancer.
Continuing His Work
Therapy animals can offer a unique form of support, helping to regulate the nervous system and providing a sense of safety that is essential for the deep work of trauma recovery. Because of this, there will always be a golden retriever as part of the Golden Leaf family.
